Governor Radda Constitutes 12th Reconstituted Governing Council for Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, has approved the constitution and inauguration of the 12th Reconstituted Governing Council of Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma.
The Governing Council was inaugurated on 14/05/2026 at the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education by the Honourable Commissioner, Muhammad Sani Aliyu, who represented the Governor at the event.
In his address, the Commissioner congratulated the newly appointed members and charged them with the responsibility of promoting academic excellence, institutional development, and good governance within the college. He emphasized that their mandate extends beyond the institution to supporting the advancement of education in Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Commissioner further reaffirmed the commitment of the Governor Radda-led administration to strengthening higher education and providing an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning across all state-owned tertiary institutions.

Speaking on behalf of the council members, the Chairman, Dr. Maigari Abdu, expressed appreciation to the Katsina State Government for the confidence reposed in them. He assured the government of the council’s commitment to working diligently towards uplifting the college, revitalising its academic reputation and institutional standing, and positioning the institution to attract a higher number of students.
Dignitaries at the event included senior government officials, traditional rulers, education stakeholders, members of the college management, and well-wishers. They commended the state government for its deliberate efforts toward improving and strengthening the education sector.
